Sites We Cover
Manchett Security’s Professional Security Guards turn up on construction sites more than anywhere else, closely followed by vacant buildings waiting on a sale or redevelopment. Retail units, warehouses and the odd corporate office round out the rest of the caseload, though every deployment gets read on its own risk profile rather than fitted to whatever’s worked before.
A construction site at 2am needs something different to a retail unit that closes at 6pm and reopens at 9. Some sites get a static guard planted on the gate all night. Others need patrols moving around the perimeter at intervals, and plenty get both running side by side. Our Security Guarding Services get shaped around what the site actually needs, not a fixed package.
SIA Licensing and BS7858 Vetting Explained
Every guard we put on a site holds a valid SIA licence, and before that, all Professional Security Guards have been through BS7858 vetting. Employment history gets checked, identity gets confirmed, and right-to-work status and any criminal record get looked at too – all of it happening before someone ever sets foot on your site, not once they’re already working nights alone.
A guard who’s been through that vetting can be trusted alone on a quiet night shift, or handed keys to a site full of equipment worth walking off with. Manchett Security’s wider guarding operation also runs to British Standard BS-7499, covering how the whole service gets managed once guards are actually on site.
